We sell USED billboard size sign covers or " Tarps "
Condition: The tarps were installed as a billboard sign cover but are still in good condition with normal wear and tear associated with use as a sign.
Size: Tarps are sized to fit the common 14 foot high by 48 feet long billboard sign. The tarps are several inches larger than the sign to allow fore being secured in place. Each tarp is more than 672 Square Feet. The tarp is rectangular in shape. Note that the display pictures above were taken at an angle from the top of a building so it does may appear truly rectangular.
Material: Tarp material is a heavy fabric / vinyl composite material.
More Details: A hem of about 3.0" is provided around the tarp perimeter. This hem is used to enclose a fiberglass rod that was used to tighten the sign cover on a sign frame. The hem will have slits in it at several locations where the rod is pulled to the sign frame. These tarps were stretched over a billboard sign frame and typically have scuff marks around the perimeter of the back side due to contact with the sign frame. These Tarps do NOT have grommets. If you need grommets Harbor Freight Tools sells a kit to install them for about $ 5.
The front side has an advertisement and the back side is white. ( Advertisements Vary - NO Choice However if you have a particular aversion to some type of advertising we will try to comply with your request ) .
These tarps are exceedingly TOUGH and Definitely NOT the little " Sissy " so called "Heavy Duty Tarps" like those sold at the home centers, camping stores, and on eBay.
Potential Uses: Weatherproof cover for hay bales, boats, airplanes, utility trailers, construction equipment, cars or trucks, 4 wheeler, leaky roofs, hurricane damaged roofs, sun shade, kids water slide, pond liner, irrigation ditches, swimming pool cover, and the list goes on and on.
Pond Liner Use: When used as a pond liner our customers often excavate the pond then line it with the tarps gluing them together for larger ponds then, back fill the pond with a layer of dirt so the pond will have a natural mud bottom and not pose a safety hazard for people or animals that get in the pond. These tarps can be glued with Gorilla Glue HH66.
